Price logic
We do not publish prices. Here is what moves the number, and when.
- Most of this trade is seasonal and thin. A week's delay in fixing can move the number more than a month does on cotton yarn.
- Sorting grade is the main lever. Hand-picked and colour-sorted material costs materially more and looks nearly the same in a photograph.
- Sulphur treatment on apricot must be declared and within the Indonesian limit. Undeclared sulphur is a detention, not a discount.
- Some lines transit Pakistan rather than originating there. Origin affects both the price and the Certificate of Origin you can obtain.
