Institutions and events
The Pakistan–Indonesia corridor is small. Most of the useful information moves between people rather than through published sources.
What this page is for
We keep a short list of the institutions and events that actually matter on this corridor, so you do not have to assemble it yourself. It is not a directory of everyone. Each body is here because a trade on this corridor will touch it, and each event because the right people are in the room.
Where we are
Two offices, both listed at the foot of every page. Karachi is Pakistani Commodities, where both partners work; visitors are welcome by arrangement. Jakarta is Wepronex Global Solutions, our Indonesian entity, which Indonesian counterparties contract with.
Indonesian bodies
- BPJPH — Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal. The Indonesian halal authority. Everything on the food and supplement side eventually goes through here, including SHLN registration of a foreign halal certificate. bpjph.halal.go.id · See: Halal and SHLN
- KADIN — the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The national chamber of commerce. It does not issue the IP-PTA certificate of origin; an IPSKA office designated by the Ministry of Trade does. kadin.id · See: Documents
- BPOM — Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan, the food and drug authority. Imported food, supplements, cosmetics and traditional medicines need a BPOM registration — ML, SI, NA or POM TI — and it must be held by an Indonesian company, not by the exporter. pom.go.id · See: Halal and SHLN
- Kemendag — Kementerian Perdagangan, the Ministry of Trade. Import policy, and the import approvals that decide whether a product may enter at all. It also runs Trade Expo Indonesia. kemendag.go.id · See: Tariffs and IP-PTA
- Bea Cukai — Direktorat Jenderal Bea dan Cukai, Indonesian Customs. Clears the goods. It requires an Indonesian importer of record holding an NIB with API-U status, so the importer has to be settled before the container sails. beacukai.go.id
- Badan Karantina Indonesia — the Indonesian Quarantine Agency. Animal, fish and plant quarantine at the port. Plant products from Pakistan — spices, pulses, dry fruit, fresh fruit — are inspected against the phytosanitary certificate issued at origin. karantinaindonesia.go.id · See: Documents
- Indonesian Embassy and Consulate General. The Embassy in Islamabad and the Consulate General in Karachi: Indonesia’s official presence on the Pakistani side of the corridor. kemlu.go.id/islamabad · kemlu.go.id/karachi
- GAPKI — Gabungan Pengusaha Kelapa Sawit Indonesia, the Indonesian Palm Oil Association. Palm oil is the most established trade on this corridor, and GAPKI’s statements on export levies and the biodiesel mandate are an early signal for supply. It also runs the Indonesian Palm Oil Conference. gapki.id
Pakistani bodies
- TDAP — Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. For exporter registration and trade delegations. It also runs Pakistan’s trade exhibitions, TEXPO among them. tdap.gov.pk
- Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Non-preferential certificates of origin on the Pakistani side. The IP-PTA certificate comes from TDAP. kcci.com.pk · See: Documents

- Pakistan Customs — part of the Federal Board of Revenue. Clearance at Karachi and Port Qasim, and the duty on your exact eight-digit line. fbr.gov.pk · See: Tariffs and IP-PTA
- NTC — National Tariff Commission. Pakistan’s anti-dumping authority. On polyester staple fibre the duty position has moved before, so check it before you fix a price. ntc.gov.pk · See: Tariffs and IP-PTA
- Department of Plant Protection. Phytosanitary certificates for plant products leaving Pakistan, and the quarantine rules for plant products coming in. plantprotection.gov.pk · See: Documents
- Pakistan Single Window. The government’s single online window for trade documentation. psw.gov.pk
- APTMA — All Pakistan Textile Mills Association. The mills behind Pakistan’s cotton yarn exports. aptma.org.pk
