How an indent works
Four steps. The duty line is checked at enquiry and again before arrival, because on this side that is what goes wrong.
-
Enquiry
You tell us the product, the grade or specification, the quantity, the destination port and the month you need it. On this side we also want your intended 8-digit tariff line, because the duty position often decides whether the trade works at all.
-
Verified supplier and sample
We identify the Indonesian mill or refinery, check its registration and export history, and send you a sealed sample with the lot reference. For palm oil we agree the weight and analysis basis in writing before loading, because that is where disputes start.
-
Inspection and documents
We arrange independent inspection at load port and assemble the document set — certificate of origin for IP-PTA preference where the line qualifies, certificate of analysis, phytosanitary where required — checked against Pakistani customs requirements before the goods sail.
-
Shipment
Cargo loads at Dumai, Belawan, Tanjung Priok or Tanjung Perak, and we track to discharge at Karachi or Port Qasim. We re-check the duty position before arrival, because it can move while the goods are at sea.
We are paid a commission on shipped value, agreed in writing before you place an order. We do not hold stock and we do not mark up the supplier's price. The invoice comes from Pakistani Commodities in Karachi, so you contract and pay locally.
What we do not do
We do not sell from stock and we do not quote before we have a supplier and a specification. We also will not tell you a duty rate from memory — we check your line and tell you the date we checked it.
