Polyester staple fibre
Virgin and recycled PSF from Indonesian producers into Karachi. Pakistan's spinning and non-woven sectors buy this in volume, and duty position moves faster than price does. We verify the mill, check the current Pakistani duty line, and inspect before loading.

Tariff position
Preference under the Indonesia–Pakistan Preferential Trade Agreement applies to a listed set of tariff lines, not to whole HS chapters. Whether this product qualifies depends on your exact 8-digit national line and on a valid Certificate of Origin.
We do not publish a rate here, because a rate without your line number and its date is not usable. What to check, and where.
Certifications required
| Certificate | Issued by | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Certificate of Origin | Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) | Required to claim IP-PTA preference where the line qualifies. |
| Mill test certificate | Producing mill | Denier, tenacity, elongation, shrinkage per lot. |
| Test report | Third-party lab | Where the buyer specifies. Recycled content claims should be verified. |
Price logic
We do not publish prices. Here is what moves the number, and when.
- PSF follows PTA and MEG feedstock, which follow crude. The fibre price is a derivative two steps down the chain.
- Virgin and recycled are separate markets that move independently. A cheap recycled quote is not a cheap virgin quote.
- Denier and cut length availability, not the headline price, usually determines what you can actually buy this month.
- Pakistani anti-dumping and regulatory duty positions on PSF have changed before. Check the current position before you fix — this is the line where an unchecked duty change hurts most.
