Palm oil
RBD olein, palm oil, stearin and CPO from Dumai and Belawan into Karachi. Pakistan is one of the largest buyers of Indonesian palm oil and this is the most established line in the corridor. Indonesian levy policy moves the number more than the futures do.

Tariff position
Preference under the Indonesia–Pakistan Preferential Trade Agreement applies to a listed set of tariff lines, not to whole HS chapters. Whether this product qualifies depends on your exact 8-digit national line and on a valid Certificate of Origin.
We do not publish a rate here, because a rate without your line number and its date is not usable. What to check, and where.
Certifications required
| Certificate | Issued by | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Certificate of Origin | Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) | Palm oil is a principal Pakistani concession line under IP-PTA. Verify the current rate. |
| Certificate of Analysis | Independent surveyor | At loading. FFA, moisture, IV, colour. |
| Halal certificate | Recognised certifier | Standard requirement for edible oil into Pakistan. |
| Weight certificate | Independent surveyor | Shore tank and flexitank quantities differ. Agree the basis in the contract. |
Price logic
We do not publish prices. Here is what moves the number, and when.
- Bursa Malaysia crude palm oil futures set the reference. Indonesian FOB trades at a differential to it, not independently.
- Indonesian export levy and duty policy moves the FOB number directly and can change with little notice.
- The olein–stearin split means the grade you want may not be the grade the refinery is long on this month.
- Flexitank versus ISO tank changes both the landed cost and the quantity dispute risk. Agree the weight basis before loading.
