Supplier verification
You have found a supplier yourself and you want to know whether they are real before you send money.
This is the service most first-time buyers on this corridor actually need. It is sold on its own: you do not have to buy the goods through us.
What we check
- Legal existence. Company registration, tax registration, and whether the entity you are being invoiced by is the entity that makes the goods.
- Export history. Whether they have shipped this product to this destination before, and at what scale.
- Production capability. Whether the plant can actually make your specification, or whether they are buying it from someone else and reselling.
- Certification status. Which certificates they hold, from which bodies, and whether those bodies are recognised where you need them to be.
- Site visit. Someone from our office goes and looks, with photographs.
What you get
A written report with what we found, what we could not verify, and photographs with dates. We tell you what we could not establish as clearly as what we could — a verification report that only contains good news is not a verification report.
It is not a guarantee of performance. A company that exists, has capacity and holds valid certificates can still ship badly. Verification reduces the risk of the specific failure that most often hits new buyers on this corridor: sending a deposit to a counterparty who cannot deliver what they promised.
Turnaround
Typically five to ten working days in Pakistan, longer if the plant is outside Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad or Sialkot. We tell you the date before you commit.
