Indonesia imports almost all of its cotton, and its spinning sector runs on imported lint and imported yarn. Pakistan spins to count and ships from Karachi in about a month. We verify the mill, pull and seal the sample, and inspect before the container is closed.

Price logic
We do not publish prices. Here is what moves the number, and when.
- Cotlook A and the Karachi Cotton Association spot rate set the floor. Yarn moves with lint, not against it.
- Count drives conversion cost. A 30s combed carries materially more conversion than a 20s carded from the same lint.
- Pakistani mill capacity tightens between October and January as the local crop arrives and export orders compete for spindles.
- Freight on the Karachi–Java leg moves independently of yarn and can swing the CFR number without the FOB moving at all.
